Biological Activity
ζ-Stat (ZETA-STAT) is a research inhibitor investigated in atypical PKC signaling and invasive behavior of clear-cell ovarian cancer cells. ζ-Stat reduced WST-1 viability readouts in a concentration-dependent manner.
In Vitro
| Endpoint | Model / conditions / source | Reported result |
|---|---|---|
| Growth response | TOV21G and ES-2 ovarian clear-cell carcinoma cells; 1, 3, 5 or 10 µM for 72 h. [1] | ζ-Stat reduced WST-1 viability readouts in a concentration-dependent manner. |
| Time dependence | 3 µM treatment assessed at 24, 48 and 72 h. [1] | Growth responses varied with exposure duration. |
| Motility and signaling | Migration/invasion and PKCζ–Ect2–Rac1 analyses; Rac1 assay at 10 µM for 72 h. [1] | Reduced motility/invasion accompanied changes in this signaling axis. |
In Vivo
No compound-specific animal efficacy result is established by the sources summarized here.
Compound and Evidence Context
| Endpoint | Model / conditions / source | Reported result |
|---|---|---|
| Target evidence | Cellular and pathway-level study. [1] | The findings do not provide a direct binding Kd or a complete kinome selectivity profile for ζ-Stat. |
Interpretation
Cell invasion assays do not establish prevention of metastasis in animals or patients.
